Jessica Baglole

Physiotherapy Resident

I have been fortunate to call Guelph home for almost 20 years now. While growing up in Guelph, I lived a very active lifestyle, having participated in various sports including volleyball and swimming. With a keen interest in science and exercise, I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University. During my undergraduate degree, I focused my studies in areas of exercise physiology and psychology. After graduating in 2016, I became certified as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine, which allowed me to gain experience in prescribing and promoting exercise to seniors and individuals with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and in cardiac rehabilitation. In 2019, I completed the Master of Science in Physical Therapy program at Queen’s University. I am excited to be returning to Guelph and joining the Speed River Physiotherapy Team.

My approach to working with each client includes developing a strong therapeutic partnership, identifying the underlying factors that may have contributed to the development of an injury and establishing a treatment plan that is not only achievable but will help the client reach their goals. I use an active treatment approach including exercise and education.
